KOOK required a comprehensive digital ecosystem and brand identity to help teenage girls aged 12–17 navigate the complex emotional and hormonal shifts of puberty. Research indicated that 65% of US teen girls struggle with these transitions, yet existing market solutions are primarily transactional, highly clinical, or targeted exclusively at women 18 and older. The project demanded a gamified, educational platform that operates as an honest companion rather than an authority figure, bridging the emotional education gap between home and classroom.
The visual and interaction direction centered on a Playfully Honest and Sassy-But-Safe brand personality. The visual identity was constructed around fluid lines to represent emotional flow, alongside friendly eyes that symbolize quiet, non-intrusive support. The system extends from app to environment — voice journaling, mood bubble trackers, and customizable avatars on screen; OOH billboards with meme-inspired copy and physical school integrations off it — without ever feeling like forced wellness or surveillance.
